Sales Agent Responsibilities – Cigar Sales
1. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Actively prospect, engage, and convert leads into customers.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets within assigned regions or customer segments.
- Upsell cigars and accessories to maximize order value.
- Follow up with customers to ensure repeat purchases and long-term relationships.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers through personalized service.
- Educate customers on cigar brands, different lines, flavors, and smoking experiences.
- Provide recommendations based on customer preferences and buying history.
- Address and resolve customer complaints, objections or concerns professionally.
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness and availability to clients.
3. Product & Industry Knowledge
- Stay updated on all cigar products, including origins, blends, strengths, and formats.
- Keep track of market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
4. Sales Process Management
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer profiles, and transaction details.
- Use CRM software to manage customer interactions and sales pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
5. Compliance & Regulations
- Follow all legal and regulatory requirements related to tobacco sales.
- Verify customer age and comply with local and international cigar sales laws.
- Ensure responsible sales practices, including proper product handling and information disclosure.
6. Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Analyze customer buying trends to refine sales strategies.
- Provide feedback on product demand, customer requests, and market opportunities.
7. Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work closely with marketing to execute promotions and campaigns.
- Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure product availability.
- Participate in sales meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes
